About Us

Southern Highlands Physical Culture opened in 2011, with over 50 members in our inaugural year.  We are affiliated with Edith Parsons School of Physical Culture, which celebrated 60 years in 2020.

Instructress Brigette Muir - " I have been involved in physie for over 40 years, beginning as a 3 year old, then as a mother to three "physi" girls and now as instructress to a whole new physie generation.

Most of my members and families in early years had never heard of "physie" and have been pleasantly surprised at the benefits that they have witnessed in their daughters.  The improvement in posture, confidence, self esteem, flexibility and co-ordination.

Physie is a wonderful sport for mothers and daughters, it is Dance with a Difference, it is affordable, it is for all levels from beginners too advanced and creates beautiful friendships along the way. Physie friends are forever friends. We welcome your interest and look forward to meeting you soon at Southern Highlands Physical Culture Club.
